Hairstyling Instructor (2 positions available)
Cappa is looking for 2 outstanding individuals to join our Hairstyling faculty team (one full time, one part time). Do you enjoy working in a fast paced dynamic environment and challenging work? Overview of Position:
The Hairstyling Instructor delivers Cappa’s proven curriculum by creating an enriching and supporting learning environment for post-secondary students using career-oriented teaching methods. The Instructor ensures students are progressing effectively by maintaining an organized and structured classroom environment. The Instructor works under the guidance and supervision of the Campus Administrator.
Please note:

one full time position available (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm)

one part time position available (hours will vary up to 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday and between the hours of 9am to 5pm)
What can I expect to do in this role? You will:
-
Able to follow and facilitate curriculum modules.
-
Ability to develop and deliver lesson plans.
-
Proctor tests and exams, and grade them in a timely manner.

Evaluate student performance, strengths and areas for improvement.
-
Have technical skills in hair cutting, styling, and chemical treatments including colouring.

Work collaboratively with team members and students with diverse backgrounds.
Mandatory Requirements:
-
must be a licensed hairstylist in the Province of Ontario with 3 to 5 years of experience in a professional salon environment
Technical Knowledge:
Cappa will provide training on a variety of instructional methods to deliver adult education and instruction to meet diverse student abilities and learning styles. In addition qualified candidates will have:

computer skills and knowledge of related software, such as Microsoft Office and Windows;

experience in delivering demonstrations and presentations (would be a definite asset).
